The frame protectors are compatible with shift outer cables, brake outer cables and brake hoses with a diameter of 4.2mm to 5.5mmm and must be pre-mounted. The unique "centersphere" design limits the contact zone with the frame to a minimum and improves the removal of mud. The larger diameter of the central section enables the ELVEDES® cable frame protectors to create a larger gap between the cable and the frame, so that the cable does not touch the frame in the vicinity of the protector. These unique properties ensure that our system protects the frame and the outer cable more effectively than comparable frame protectors. Use a mild soap solution to slide the protector over the cable. Do not use grease or oil to do this! Oil or grease will allow the protection to slide out of place.
